Michigan!

Well, if you haven't heard, we accepted a call to Richfield Church of the Nazarene in Otisville, MI to be the full time youth pastor in July.  It all happened very fast and we wanted to get in and get settled before Reya started school, so we started packing and moved within a couple weeks of our decision.  And Yes! we did just buy a house, so we are now in the process of selling it...but we know that this is where God wanted us to go and He has His hand on every detail. We are just East of Flint, MI and have been enjoying getting to know our new surroundings and finding all the fun things to do in the area.  I keep forgetting to take my camera, but I will have to get some pics of the new parks we have found and are enjoying.  The church had a parsonage for us, so we have moved in and are getting settled.  It was a true blessing since we are still in the process of selling our other house.  Below are some pics of the house here in MI...some are from when we came and interviewed so the house was empty and then I took a few of the living/dining room.

We've felt so welcome since we have arrived.  We love the house and are slowly but surely finding places for all our stuff.  It's been fun and exciting to meet all the new people, yet sad to leave those we still love in Ephrata.   But being in the center of where God wants us to be is a great feeling and we are looking forward to all the the future holds for us here!

July Happenings

So July was a pretty busy month for us.  We drove to Ohio, dropped off Eddy at my parents house, then drove to Mount Vernon to  drop off the 3 older kids with Nana, while we went to interview for a youth pastor position in MI.  Then I stayed in Ohio the following week, while Jamey went with the youth on a Mission trip to Rochester, NY.  We decided to take the position, so I headed back a little early from my planned week at home to start packing.  While we were at my parents, my beloved Aunt Jeaneen passed away very sudden, so we went for the viewing in VA.  I will need to find some pictures of Reya and Aunt Jeaneen to post later.  But here are some pics of our month of July.

Big Boy Cole in his walker
Watch Out! Old Man Zane is behind the wheel!!
 Pretty Reya and her bow!
Kade who would not cooperate, so I took his picture anyways...he is lying on the garage floor!
I only got pics of Cole and Zane on the Youth Beach trip.

And while we were in Ohio...we got the opportunity to go and swim at a family's house that attend my parents church, with Tiffany Dennis and her boys.  It was a lot of fun!

Great Grandma LaLone is reading a story!
And Reya was super excited to lose her first front tooth!

4th of July

Here are some pics from our activities on July 4th.  We started painting a day or two a week and the kids really have been enjoying it.  Zane loses interest pretty quick still, but he still wants to do it!

And then here's Zane having fallen asleep between the bed and the wall on the floor.  I couldn't resist a picture.  He LOVES his CARS themed toddler bed, so I was surprised that he wasn't sleeping in it.

And here we are getting settled to watch the fireworks at the Middle School field.  Seemed like a lot more people were there this year.

Zane was the popcorn hog and Reya has on her "glow Mask" that she got for her birthday

Kade was playing catch with Daddy while we were waiting
Obviously niether of us noticed that Cole's mouth needed wiped after dinner!  But he fell asleep during the fireworks and the noise didn't seem to bother him at all!
 Popcorn HOG!
